Church Activities

At St. Mark’s we have various opportunities available for you to get involved, such as attending a home group and music rehearsals. Please take a look at the information below, if you would like any further information or would like to get involved, please email: admin@stmarkspeterborough.org.uk

Home Group

House groups meet during the week at church members’ homes, in the afternoons or evenings, to study the Bible. This gives members of the church an opportunity to meet socially whilst also being a chance to improve knowledge and understanding of the Bible through discussion and listening to one another’s insight. Published material is also used in some sessions. This enables church members to get to know one another better in a relaxed and informal setting.

For more information or to find out where your nearest home group is, please email: admin@stmarkspeterborough.org.uk

Music

Music plays a big part in church life, and hymns and worship songs range from traditional to contemporary. The congregation at the 10:30am service is accompanied by the organ at Holy Communion Services and the music group at other services.Save

Prayer Ministry

We believe that prayer is absolutely fundamental to the Christian life, and consequently there are a large number of opportunities for prayer during our services. We pray as a church family in our services, and specific prayer with a member of the prayer team is available during communion and after our 10:30am service. In addition to this, we have a prayer corner opposite door where you can leave your prayers for others to pray if you wish and have some quiet reflection time.Save

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18: 19-20
